The first ever mid-engined Corvette, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8 was honored with the 2020 North American Car of the Year Award on January 13th at an event held at the TCF center in Detroit Michigan. The award was judged by a panel of 50 independent auto journalists from the US and Canada. The Corvette had previously won in 2014 when the C7 Corvette was first introduced.
The award was presented to Tadge Juechter, who is the chief engineer on the C8 project
The all new Corvette will be available in spring 2020 and the coupe will be followed shortly thereafter with a convertible which will include a power folding top. Both versions will be produced the GM plant in Bowling Green Kentucky.
